PHAR 2.0 (or: Why I

This post is over 9 years old and is probably out of date.

As noted by Greg Beaver, ext/phar 2.0 has been released.

With this release Greg, Marcus and the others have finally realized my original dreams for PHAR, and I can only say thank you, thank you, thank you!

My only regret is that I have been left – due to my lack of C knowledge and my circumstances in the last 18 months – in the dust, I simply do not (yet?) have the knowledge necessary to contribute anything more than my ideas to the ext/phar at this point.

Also, at long last, I will finally get a chance to meet Greg in person at php|tek and shake his hand and say “Thank you” for putting so much time into ext/phar, not to mention his contributions as a whole to the PEAR and PHP communities.
